For advanced students of literary studies, this course will consider critical writing as an art in itself by examining critical works by seven 20th century authors – Henry James, Vladimir Nabokov, Ezra Pound, Roland Barthes, Michel Foucault, Italo Calvino, and Susan Sontag.
